Overview
The Vice President, Engineering is a senior leadership role within the Engineering organization, responsible for defining and executing the product engineering strategy and leading the development and delivery of high-quality, scalable software products.
This role oversees a global engineering organization and partners closely with Product Management, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to build innovative, customer-centric solutions that drive business growth and market differentiation. The VP is accountable for delivering impactful product outcomes, accelerating time-to-market, and ensuring engineering excellence across the product lifecycle.
The role operates at both strategic and execution levels, ensuring alignment between engineering delivery, product vision, and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as executive leader for a global product engineering organization.
- Partner with Product Management to define priorities and deliver high-quality software products.
- Lead distributed engineering teams across multiple locations.
- Focus on AI Coding and AI DLC driven development, deployment and Quality.
- Drive SaaS and cloud-based product development.
- Plan and manage engineering budgets and resources.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across product systems.
- Act as a technical advisor to executive leadership.
- Contribute to design decisions, reviews, and resolution of complex technical challenges.
- Engage with customers and support go-to-market and sales initiatives.
- Collaborate across functions and promote a strong customer-focused culture.
- Contribute to annual planning and product strategy.
- Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive engineering experience with strong focus on product development.
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and leaders of leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong experience building and delivering customer-facing software products (SaaS preferred).
- Expertise in modern software development practices and full product lifecycle delivery.
- Experience with cloud-based application development environments.
- Proven track record delivering scalable and high-quality software products.
- Strong partnership with Product Management to drive product strategy and execution.
- Proven ability to align engineering delivery with business goals and customer outcomes.
Cognitive / Mental Requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement when needed.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area that is free from distractions, to allow and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
Base compensation ranges from $215,000 to $300,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
