What you'll be doing
As part of our Enterprise Payments Transformation team, you'll join us as a Consultant, Business Delivery, focusing on the people side of change for our wire modernization (EWM) program. The Consultant will play a key role in guiding and supporting our organization through the transition to the new payments wire messaging standard, ensuring that employees are prepared, trained, and aligned with these changes. Your work will center on managing the human aspects of our transformation to ISO 20022, impacting multiple departments, processes, and systems across CIBC. You'll collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to foster adoption, address concerns, and help drive successful outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of payments at CIBC while supporting our teams through meaningful change.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Lead organizational change – Champion and implement change initiatives related to business processes and technologies for the Enterprise Payments Transformation program, ensuring employees are prepared, equipped, and supported throughout the transition.
Develop and execute change strategies – Create and deliver comprehensive change management strategies and plans, including stakeholder impact assessments, communications, change readiness, and end-user training.
Drive adoption and engagement – Promote adoption and proficiency of new processes and systems within the Enterprise Payments Transformation team, leveraging CIBC’s Change Management methodologies.
Facilitate stakeholder collaboration – Lead meetings with stakeholders, user groups, and subject matter experts to understand current processes and jointly develop change adoption plans. Build strong relationships across departments to foster support for change initiatives.
Deliver training and communications – Design, coordinate, and deliver change communications to keep employees informed about project developments and timelines. Oversee the creation of training programs and facilitate workshops to ensure teams are ready for the new messaging environment.
Who you are
You have relevant experience. You bring at least 5 years of experience in People Change Management (PCM) and/or Business Analysis, with a proven track record managing organizational change, ideally in large-scale, global financial institution projects—especially payments systems or financial messaging.
You’re a strong communicator and collaborator. You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, and thrive in cross-functional team environments.
You’re a problem solver. You enjoy investigating complex problems, making sense of information, and communicating detailed insights in an impactful way.
You’re digitally savvy. You embrace innovative solutions and evolving technologies, and can quickly adapt to new tools and trends.
You act like an owner. You take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results that drive the success of the team and organization.
You have specialized knowledge. Experience with the Swift ISO 20022 standard and its impact on financial institutions and payment operations is an asset.
