The Staff Interior Designer will prepare designs, edit specifications, and prepare conceptual estimates for interior work, repair, and/or renovation of government, airport, and commercial-related facilities. This position creates, designs and implements interior design and space planning strategies and initiatives to ensure fluidity through the completion of the project.
+ Prepares designs, quantity calculations, designs, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for interiors of aviation and/or federal facilities.
+ Responsible for compiling data, provide elementary design computations, assist with preparation of internal design plans and renderings.
+ Responsible for furniture purchasing and reconfiguration.
+ Researches interior design products and make recommendations.
+ Researches, develops, and selects color, finish, and materials.
+ Responsible for recommending new ideas, formulas and methods.
+ Leads construction administration activities through site visits and review of schedules.
+ Responsible for maintaining conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes.
+ Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required or
+ Master Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required
+ Minimum four years of interior design experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated progress towards achieving NCIDQ certification.
+ Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills is preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of standard interior design concepts.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
+ Strong software and computer skills required, including BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
+ Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills.
+ Valid driver's license Required
