Description The Technology Financial Manager is a highly visible Finance leadership role embedded within the Company's corporate technology organization. As a key member of the Technology leadership team, the Technology Financial Manager partners closely with executive leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to influence investment decisions, optimize resource allocation, and promote financial accountability. The role provides direction, support, and oversight of financial planning, forecasting, cost transparency, chargebacks, and investment analysis for a technology portfolio representing several hundred million dollars in annual spend. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring technology investments are aligned with strategic priorities, delivering measurable business value, and supporting the Company's long-term growth objectives.

Key Job ResponsibilitiesDepartment Financials
- Partner with executive leadership to define and implement the financial strategy, goals, and performance metrics for the Company's technology departments.
- Establish and embed financial governance, processes, and best practices that support effective decision-making and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to develop the annual business plan and fourth-quarter forecast by translating strategic initiatives, technology roadmaps, and consumption trends into financial impacts.
- Monitor and manage monthly financial performance, including detailed analysis of Run, Grow, and Transform the Business spending.
- Lead strategic financial oversight of technology investments, partnering with business and technology leaders to prioritize projects with robust business cases and cost-benefit analyses, establish clear metrics and ROI reporting, and review post-implementation outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Respond to ad hoc analyses and strategic requests that support executive leadership decision-making.
Financial Data Analysis and Training
- Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of accounting systems, financial planning tools, and reporting platforms to support accurate and actionable financial analysis.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability by equipping service owners, product managers, and technology leaders with the knowledge to understand unit costs, total cost of ownership, consumption trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Conduct benchmarking analyses, develop cost models, and evaluate technology investment performance to support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and monitor dashboards that enable leaders to assess the effectiveness and business impact of technology spending.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial transparency, operational efficiency, and technology investment outcomes.
- Fulfill reporting requirements in coordination with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and other corporate support groups.
- Deliver presentations on financial trends, technology investment performance, and strategic recommendations to various departmental and executive audiences.
- Mentor, coach, and support the development of corporate support professionals and finance team members.
Corporate Financial Reporting
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Corporate Reporting team, ensuring alignment on financial reporting, overhead results, forecasts, and significant financial matters impacting the technology organization.
- Provide expert guidance on forecasting, budgeting, and financial implications of key technology initiatives and enterprise investments.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure consistency in reporting methodologies, assumptions, and financial governance practices.
Technology Cost Transparency and Chargebacks
- Lead the Company's technology cost transparency and chargeback processes, ensuring financial information is accurate, understandable, and actionable.
- Drive transparency into technology costs by ensuring chargeback rates reflect forecasted consumption, underlying cost structures, and desired business behaviors.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across the enterprise to improve understanding and utilization of technology cost and consumption data.
- Advocate for fairness, consistency, and transparency in cost recovery methodologies, ensuring technology chargebacks are defensible, sustainable, and aligned with business value.
- Design, implement, and maintain service costing and allocation methodologies grounded in business-relevant cost drivers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve chargeback models, reporting capabilities, and financial processes to enhance stakeholder decision-making.
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience required; eleven (11) years preferred. Additional credit may be given for public accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities within a complex organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven ability to build partnerships and influence decision-making across Finance, Technology, and Business functions.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple strategic and operational initiatives simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting technology organizations, IT finance, Technology Business Management (TBM), FinOps, or large-scale shared services environments.
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Power BI, or other enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
- Experience developing business cases, investment analyses, and value realization frameworks.
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification (one year of additional credit given for CPA or MBA).
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
