**Description** **Fiber Engineer** **Job Description:** The Fiber Engineer would be responsible for working with the team in executing the following work: ·Designers will be applying fiber optic knowledge and principles to assess and design distribution areas serving utility, residential, commercial, and municipal customers ·Design fiber optic networks (backbone, distribution, FTTH/FTTx) for utility and telecom clients. ·Develop Bill of Materials (BOM), routing plans, splice diagrams, and network topology. ·Perform high-level and detailed design for complex utility communication networks ·Assess required networking components and develop complete engineering packages (drawings, layouts, schematics) ·Apply fiber optic principles to optimize signal performance, routing, and redundancy ·Perform or review site surveys, GIS/CAD data, and field inputs for design accuracy ·Develop designs using GIS (ArcGIS), AutoCAD, and related tools ·Seamless communication with cross functional project stakeholders, team, counterparts. ·Ensure project milestones are met on time through effective action planning. ·Ensure adherence to engineering standards and QA/QC processes. ·Maintain the documentation of full project lifecycle including the design revisions, change management, preliminary, construction till as build, maintain the record of transmittal of these packages with client. **Qualifications** **Required Skills / Experience:** ·Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) ·7-10 years of experience in telecommunication engineering. ·Experience, certifications, or formal education in fiber optic products, design/routing, and provisioning. ·Experience in Fiber network design (OSP/ISP) ·Experience in Utility infrastructure projects would be an added advantage. Should have handled the upgradation projects for the utilities in design, testing or commissioning activity. ·Knowledge of network architectures and utility communication systems ·Knowledge of ESRI dashboards. Prepare and maintain Dashboards for client specific parameters with ArcGIS ·Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word and GIS (ESRI/AEGIS/ArcGIS) Experience ·Strong communication skills **Desired Skills / Experience:** ·Technical Certification by BICSI or other reputable communication design certification entity ·Optical Network Terminals (ONT), Optical Line Terminations (OLT), or Passive Optical Networks (PON) ·Experience in python scripts ·Fiber to the x (FTTx) architectures such as centralized, distributed, and segmented split This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled. **Job** Engineering **Primary Location** India-Karnataka-Bengaluru **Schedule:** Full-time **Travel:** No **Req ID:** 262028 **Job Hire Type** Experienced Not Applicable #BMI N/A
