We’re looking for a project manager to lead some of the industry's best engineers while executing highly technical, complex engineering water projects. It takes many skills to manage projects in the engineering industry, from forming and maintaining great relationships with clients and partners, to successfully delivering projects, to staying in step with current and future regulations, to actively seeking out the next project. We appreciate the lessons you have learned in your career and technical experience you bring to the table, and we want you to be a hands-on participant in the growth of others. + We are also looking for a Project Manager who can: + Provide leadership and guidance on all aspects of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, including overall safety, quality, risk, engineering, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, and financials. . + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project(s) life cycle. + Leverage existing client relationships, create new client relationships and focus on repeat work within each client account. + Support business strategy for developing new business opportunities + Work to proactively identify and position Burns & McDonnell for upcoming projects and opportunities. + Provide direction as part of the sales team for furthering Burns & McDonnell’s position in the industry through events, conferences, and contacts. + Provide guidance and industry feedback or trends to the water leadership team. + Provide mentorship as well as formal and informal training for the project team. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program required + Minimum of 7 years of related experience (15 years preferred) in design engineering. + Previous consulting and project management experience preferred. + Professional Registration in the state of Texas (ability to obtain Texas registration is acceptable). + Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. + Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice. + Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office + Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
