The Craft Training Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Self-perform Construction training programs. This position will assist in coordinating and maintaining training programs, records, and systems used to manage the Self-perform Construction training programs, as well as work to develop increased utilization and greater proficiency of these systems and processes.
+ Responsible for scheduling and tracking all craft training & assisting with professional development when necessary.
+ Maintain NCCER Accreditation by ensuring the company follows all proper processes and procedures.
+ Collaborate with field and craft recruiters to assist with onboarding craft employees.
+ Schedule all required training for craft employees with the Houston Area Safety Council.
+ Partner with the Department of Labor to ensure BMcD is meeting the requirements of apprenticeship programs.
+ Responsible for updating the Department of Labor RAPID website for apprenticeship programs.
+ Administer and proctor all apprenticeship classification computer exams.
+ Administer, monitor, and report all BMcD required safety training for partnered projects.
+ Administer and monitor all Heavy Equipment BMcD specific training as needed.
+ Assist with organizing the Craft Leadership Boot Camps.
+ Identify methods of improvement regarding the Training Departments scheduling and tracking processes.
+ Responsible for taking professional notes and minutes in all appropriate committee meetings.
+ Monitor and ensure all BMcD craft employees are in compliance with required safety training (ex: Basic Plus, BMcD Specific, etc.)
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of related training experience in the construction industry required or
+ Associate degree in education, training, administration, communications or a related field and 2 years of related training experience in the construction industry required or
+ Bachelor's degree in education, training, administration, communications or a related field required.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
