Are you a visionary engineering talent who wants to actively shape the future of automotive wireless vehicle access? With us, you will take on a key role in the development of our next generation of embedded RF electronics. Here, you will not only define the technological horizon but also shape the safety and comfort of future vehicles.
In Zone ECU product area, you will be responsible for the module design of 434 MHz UHF electronics including chip selection, antenna design and module integration into the Zone ECU design.
Your tasks:
► Antenna and circuit design based on customer requirement, simulation, lab tests and vehicle level test results
► Analyzing and creating HW requirements for the RF module, including IC and the antenna design
► Selection and testing of RF components (RF IC, antenna, filter, matching, etc.), qualification of components from 2nd supplier
► RF design verification measurements: antenna matching, sensitivity
► Internal noise investigations, defining design changes, verification of changes
► Creating requirements and guidelines for module integration into the Zone ECU, also including realization on the vehicle
► Continuous alignment with the layout team on PCB optimization, running PCB feasibility/placement studies for new generations
►Characterization of RF parameters
► Keeping track of relevant RF standards, specifications, protocols and regulations
► Basic understanding of automotive standards (e.g. EMC); ASPICE or ISO 26262 awareness is an advantage
► Responsible for RF lab equipment, responsible to support customer vehicle level tests (preparation of samples, on-site test execution support, collaboration with resident engineers, OEM engineers)
► Working in an international environment, as part of the electronics development project team, collaboration with SW, SYS domains as well, support production related activities from RF side
► Support HW project managers in technical discussions regarding internal management and customer discussions as well
► Experience with HW development life cycle process from requirement à design à validation to production is advantageous
► Successfully completed a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Radio Frequency Engineering or a comparable field of study,
► Experience in the development of RF circuits, antenna design,
► Relevant knowledge of the design process for printed RF circuits for automotive applications,
► Relevant knowledge of ECU manufacturing processes, with ability to support production engineering team concerning RF module related topics,
► Know-how and practical experience in high-frequency metrology
► Experienced in 3D EM simulations with either CST Microwave Studio or Ansys HFSS,
► Initial knowledge of methods and tools in scripting, automation, and data analysis with MATLAB is an advantage,
► Optionally, experience with embedded electronics development,
► An independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style,
► Strong teamwork skills in an international team, as well as high commitment and creativity,
► Very good written and spoken English skills, direct customer communication experience is an advantage,
