This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.As a Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the verification and validation of complex systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, analyzing test data, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and a passion for hands-on testing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system-level verification and validation.
Design, build, and maintain test facilities, equipment, and software.
Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of failures.
Collaborate with design and systems engineers to ensure that requirements are verifiable and that test plans provide complete coverage.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
Prepare and present test reports to internal and external customers.
Automate test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system design to improve testability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
Proven experience with the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in a related technical discipline.
Experience with the testing of complex integrated systems, such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, or aircraft.
Knowledge of environmental testing (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum).
Experience with automated testing and test script development.
Familiarity with industry standards for testing and qualification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Some travel may be required.
Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20Other site ranges may differ
