BlackRock’s Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) delivers global middle and back office services that support investment operations across a broad range of asset classes and client types. The organization provides scalable and controlled support across trade servicing, collateral management, corporate actions, reconciliations, data governance, investment accounting, and alternative operations.
Global Client Alternative Services (GCAS) is a specialized team within OPS that supports clients investing in private markets and alternative assets. The team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of cash and position data, overseeing alternative asset workflows, and partnering with stakeholders globally to manage operational risk and support an exceptional client experience. Through daily oversight of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR), GCAS plays a critical role in supporting accurate portfolio data and efficient operational execution.
YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT
As an Associate within GCAS, you will support private markets and alternatives operations across reconciliation, settlement, exception management, documentation review, and client service activities. You will work closely with internal partners, external counterparties, agents, borrowers, and clients to ensure operational accuracy, mitigate risk, and maintain high-quality data across complex alternative investments. This role offers an opportunity to operate at the intersection of private markets investing and operational innovation while contributing to scalable solutions that support BlackRock’s growing alternatives business.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:
Apply expertise across private credit, project finance, structured credit, real assets, and syndicated loans to partner effectively with borrowers, agents, counterparties, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Perform and oversee cash, position, and transaction reconciliations, investigating and resolving exceptions to maintain data integrity and operational accuracy.
Analyze complex legal and deal documentation to support operational execution, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across portfolios.
Support settlement and lifecycle events across private market instruments while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).
Lead process improvement, automation, and control enhancement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Utilize loan servicing and operational platforms to support transaction processing and portfolio management activities.
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while contributing to innovative operational solutions that support scalable client service delivery.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
3–6 years of experience in loan operations, settlements, reconciliations, or documentation-driven transactions, with knowledge of private credit, real assets, or project finance.
Strong communication, relationship management, and client service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a range of stakeholder groups.
Knowledge of banking, investment management, alternative investments, trading instruments, and settlement processes across a range of asset classes and investor types.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in high-volume, risk-sensitive environments while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated initiative, accountability, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to supporting team and organizational objectives.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with loan operations or related investment systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence.

Our hybrid work model
