Birdbuddy is on a mission to reconnect people with nature through beautifully designed smart bird feeders and companion technology. Our business combines physical product manufacturing with subscriptions recurring revenue from our connected ecosystem.
We're looking for a Subscriptions Project Manager to run the execution engine of Bird Buddy's subscription business, the company's largest recurring revenue line. You'll own the experimentation pipeline end-to-end: turning prioritized roadmap initiatives into specified, tested, measured, and decided outcomes. You'll work closely with the Head of Subscriptions (who defines the roadmap and strategy), and with engineering, analytics, CRM, and support teams who deliver the work. This is a high-ownership role in a small company: your throughput directly determines how fast an $18M subscription business grows.
What you will do
- Own the subscription experimentation pipeline: entry documents, variant specifications, QA coordination, launch, measurement, and decision memos.
- Turn roadmap initiatives into engineering-ready specs and shepherd them through Product's delivery process.
- Manage the checkout, trial-start, and onboarding experiment roadmaps.
- Coordinate weekly cross-functional alignment across analytics, CRM, engineering, and support.
- Maintain the subscription product catalog across platforms and billing systems.
- Run instrumentation, conversion, and pipeline tracking; own reporting on experiment outcomes and throughput.
Key Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of project management, product operations, or adjacent experience (growth, monetization, CRM, or analytics backgrounds welcome).
- Strong written specification and documentation habits; this role runs on clear, decision-ready documents.
- Comfort with A/B testing concepts, funnel metrics, and subscription economics (LTV, churn, conversion).
- High attention to detail: catalog structures, compliance requirements, and QA checklists reward precision.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and owning a pipeline end-to-end.
- Nice to have: experience with subscription tooling (RevenueCat, WooCommerce Subscriptions, or similar), app store ecosystems, web checkout/billing, or regulated consumer flows.
