Job Summary
We are looking for a Client Service Manager on 18 months contract basis to join our Seoul office. The successful candidate is required to support the Wealth/Retail Distribution Team by nurturing and expanding client relationships and driving business growth. Main duties include onboarding new clients, monitoring ongoing relationships, and collaborating with Compliance on AML and KYC processes. This role will be a fixed-term contractor and work with our Korea Client Service Team, reporting directly to Korea CS team lead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Wealth/Retail Distribution Team in strengthening, expanding, and nurturing client relationships, while identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Facilitate new client onboarding and oversee ongoing monitoring to ensure seamless client experience.
- Handle anti-money laundering (AML) matters in close collaboration with the Compliance team, maintaining robust controls for client onboarding and account management.
- Assist in preparing due diligence reports and conducting compliance regulatory checks, ensuring proper adherence to procedures.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials, produce analytical reports for clients, and assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Communicate timely updates on market and regulatory changes to clients to keep them informed of industry developments.
- Stay up to date with local market conditions and regulations to maintain compliance and competitive positioning for the business.
- Maintain consistently high standards of client service.
- Collaborate with the Senior Client Service Officer to resolve client inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Report issues encountered, along with recommended solutions, to the Senior Client Service Officer.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of Know Your Customer (KYC) policies and procedures with regulatory requirements.
- Guarantee the availability of appropriate data for regular client reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Fund Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Product, and international offices.
- Conduct research and analysis on funds, market industry trends, and competitors.
- Prepare and deliver mandatory reports, including prospectuses, quarterly reports, and year-end closing reports, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory disclosures and fund reports promptly.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years’ experience in client service or relevant role in financial industry, preferably asset management houses
- Degree holder in finance discipline preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good time management skills. Able to work with tight schedules and under great pressure
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm
