Purpose of the role
To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units.
Accountabilities
Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards utilisng best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies for improved efficiency and timeliness.
Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.
Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.
Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis & data cleansing and seeking signoffs as required.
Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.

To be successful as a Senior BI Developer, you should:
SQL & Data Handling, advanced querying (joins, window functions), data cleaning, and a considerable understanding of system-wide data flows
Data Visualization & BI, proficiency in Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau to build intuitive dashboards and deliver compelling data-driven storytelling
Data Modelling, advance knowledge of star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and data model optimization for performance and scalability
Stakeholder Management & Requirements Gathering, considerable ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, translate complex requirements into technical solutions, and communicate insights effectively to drive informed decision-making
Other highly valued skills include:
ETL & Data Pipelines, familiarity with automation tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) and managing data freshness
Business Acumen & Communication, translating business needs into data requirements and communicating insights to stakeholders
Basic Programming, using Python or R for data wrangling, automation, and light analytics/forecasting

This role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary: $160,000
Maximum Salary: $210,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
