Position Summary-
Architect – Fraud Data, Analytics & Operations is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions that enable proactive fraud detection, prevention, and investigation. This role bridges fraud business needs, data platforms, and advanced analytics, ensuring scalable, real-time architectures that support high-volume transaction monitoring and decisioning.
The architect defines data-driven fraud ecosystems by integrating AI/ML models, rules engines, streaming data pipelines, and case management workflows to enhance detection accuracy and operational efficiency. They ensure solutions align with enterprise data strategy, regulatory requirements, and governance standards, while modernizing legacy platforms into cloud-enabled, event-driven architectures.
Partnering across fraud operations, risk, data science, and engineering teams, the role drives solution design, architecture governance, and innovation, leveraging emerging capabilities such as GenAI, graph analytics, and behavioral intelligence to continuously improve fraud outcomes.
This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts, determining the primary systems/sub-systems and their interfaces, and assisting with end-to-end solution design. Job expectations include defining non-functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology, find creative solutions through knowledge of the domain, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts, and aligns the solution intent and architectural vision to an evolving backlog of technology change
- Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features
- Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
- Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easily
- Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions
- Clarifies the architecture and assists with system design for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
- Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs and suggests improvements to best practices and templates
- Design end-to-end solution architectures for fraud data, analytics, and operational processes
- Translate fraud business requirements into technical designs, architecture patterns, and implementation roadmaps
- Enable real-time fraud detection and decisioning through integration of transaction data, behavioral signals, rules engines, and analytics platforms
- Support fraud operations through architecture for alerting, triage, investigation, and case management workflows
- Define and govern fraud data flows across ingestion, enrichment, storage, reporting, and analytics consumption layers
- Ensure architecture supports scalability, resiliency, performance, and high-volume transaction processing
- Align solutions with data governance, security, privacy, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Lead integration design across fraud systems, customer channels, transaction platforms, and enterprise data environments
- Promote standardization, reusable design patterns, and enterprise architecture alignment
- Drive modernization of legacy processes through cloud-aligned, API-enabled, and event-driven architecture patterns
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of job related experience required .
- Advanced expertise in financial services fraud ecosystems, including emerging digital and cross-channel fraud trends
- Demonstrated ability to shape enterprise architecture vision and long-term strategy for fraud and analytics platforms
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programs (e.g., cloud migration, platform consolidation, AI adoption)
- Strong background in decision intelligence and optimization, improving false positives and detection precision
- Proven ability to influence executive-level strategy and roadmap prioritization
- Experience building and promoting enterprise-wide fraud capabilities and shared services
- Deep familiarity with industry-leading fraud platforms, consortium data, and external intelligence ecosystems
- Track record of driving data democratization and self-service analytics for operational users
- Strong focus on user-centric design, improving investigator experience and operational outcomes
