Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts, determining the primary systems/sub-systems and their interfaces, and assisting with end-to-end solution design. Job expectations include defining non-functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers.
This role is part of our Centralized Developer Tooling team, to be responsible for architecting, testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. This individual should be a subject matter expert on testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. They will help condition and generate test data, build and execute both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. They also ensure regression test suites are maintained and well designed.
Responsibilities:
Participate and contribute to story refinement/defining test requirements
Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize testing requirement through the delivery lifecycle
Develop detailed, comprehensive and well structured test cases based on functional, non functional , and compliance requirements
Lead test planning, ensure stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria
Ensure in scope and out of scope items are clearly identified during test planning
Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement /story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Automate manual release activities
Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features
Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs and suggests improvements to best practices and templates
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency with Test Automation/Unit Test Review/QA Planning
Source code management Git/Bitbucket, and others
Build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and others
Highly committed with an ability to work in fast paced environment against tight deadlines
Ability to work in international, virtual teams and in matrix structures while being a good team player
Understands all roles and responsibilities within their team, and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle
Has demonstrated the ability to design and develop manual and automated test plans within an application.
Has performed test plan reviews.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of build tools and processes like Nuget, MS Build
Exposure towards BitBucket, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, Ansible
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Testing methods and tools
Understanding of microservices architecture
Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate.
