This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces. They are familiar with development and testing practices of the bank

Responsibilities:

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
• Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
• Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
• Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
• Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

• Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
• Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
• Participate, contribute and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events, e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict, resolution, release notes.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or platform engineering
• Experience developing applications using Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, or distributed application architectures.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development patterns.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control management.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong ability to develop and deliver complex technical requirements that align with business objectives.
• Proficiency in ensuring solutions meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, particularly within a regulated banking environment.
• Solid software development experience, including writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Hands-on expertise in unit testing, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Ability to design and build solutions with robust, well-defined interfaces that integrate effectively into larger application and system architectures.
• Experience working with end-to-end system integration, ensuring seamless interaction across multiple components.
• Working knowledge of development and testing standards and practices commonly used in the banking industry (e.g., secure coding, audit readiness, risk controls).
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, including build, deploy, and support processes.
• Working knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP standards.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and secrets management solutions.
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and least-privilege access models.
• Experience identifying and remediating application security vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with security scanning, code analysis tools, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts including network segmentation, logging, monitoring, and security event management.

• Effective documentation and communication skills to support development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Experience collaborating within Agile or iterative delivery teams, contributing to continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, or similar DevSecOps tooling.
• Experience with observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• Security certifications such as Security+, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP (Associate), or equivalent.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML services to improve automation, developer productivity, or platform operations.

Pay range

$88,800.00 - $144,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
