With respect to NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between USD 120000 and USD 150000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
ROLE OVERVIEW
In the role of Manager, Credit Operations, the employee will be responsible for supporting Credit portfolio managers and traders across a wide range of products / processes.
· Trade Lifecycle Management: Our team manages the full lifecycle of credit trades including affirmation, matching, settlement, exercise / expiry. Products include but are not limited to structured credit, CDX/CDS, CLO, CMBS, CMBS, MBS, TBA cash bonds.
· Maintain Relationships: Middle Office interacts with Executing Brokers, Prime Brokers, Fund Admins, and other counterparties daily. It is important to build and maintain relationships with these parties.
· Settlements / Fails: Responsible for the firm’s Bonds, Repo and structured credit settlements. Partner with our Prime Brokers to escalate to Executing Brokers for timely settlement.
· PnL Investigation: Work alongside PnL Control to investigate PnL outages and breaks. Verify models and securities are setup properly and matching Clearing Houses such as ICE and counterparties for bilateral products.
· Technology Enhancements: Proactively work with, technology, front office, and external vendors to improve operational processes and automate where possible to minimize manual efforts and ensure scalability / stability.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Technical, business, or relevant finance degree
· Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in an investment bank, Fund Admin, Asset Manager, or Hedge fund
· Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and project management skills
· Experience with structured credit products is strongly preferred
· Practical knowledge of global financial markets
