Overall Purpose
Oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of financial statements to support optimal financial performance and ensure financial integrity.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Planning: Drive automation and AI into operational accounting processes, supporting streamline accounting processes and providing financial insights to support informed business decisions.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, performance management, and employee development. Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture within the accounting department.
Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process-improvement initiatives. Provide financial expertise in support of strategic initiatives and manage ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requested by senior management.

Oversees the department’s operational activities, with an emphasis on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily responsible for implementing and executing strategies established by senior management. Typically leads entry-level and experienced professional staff. Influences and makes recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including hiring, termination, disciplinary action, promotions, and compensation.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
