Within ASML, the Customer Support (CS) organization is responsible for the maintenance, repair, upgrade, relocation, and continuous improvement of ASML systems, as well as the customer interface at customer locations. One of the departments within CS focuses on DUV UIR (Upgrades, Installs & Relocations). This organization prepares and executes complex UIR activities on DUV systems in a customer production environment worldwide. In this role, you will manage resources from the DUV UIR team and supporting organizations, while driving team development, strong collaboration, and people care, and contributing to the long-term ambition of ONE UIR.
As CS DUV UIR Group Leader, you are responsible for the operational management of DUV Upgrade, Install, and Relocation activities at customer sites around the world. These activities are executed in live production environments and require strong alignment across teams, functions, and regions. Your mission is to develop capable and mature engineers, ensure stable and predictable execution, and support UIR operations to guarantee safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes, while progressing toward a unified ONE UIR way of working.
Team & People Development
· Build, develop, and lead a high-performing DUV UIR team, fostering teamwork and shared accountability.
· Organize staffing according to the UIR blueprint, ensuring the right competencies are available at the right time.
· Define training plans and development targets to support multi-skill capability across Upgrades, Installs, and Relocations.
· Hire, onboard, train, and coach new team members toward operational and advanced/expert levels.
· Drive team engagement, collaboration, and people care, ensuring a safe and inclusive working environment.
KPI & Performance Management
· Define, align, and deploy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across UIR activities, including safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost.
· Monitor team and project performance using KPIs to identify gaps, risks, and Improvement Opportunities.
· Provide clear performance feedback to line management and stakeholders.
· Use KPI insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement toward ONE UIR performance alignment.
Execution & Operational Excellence
· Ensure UIR activities are executed safely and in alignment with agreed targets and customer commitments.
· Assign projects and lead planning and execution of DUV Upgrades, Installs, and Relocations.
· Support day-to-day UIR operation handling and issue resolution in customer fabs.
· Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cycle time, efficiency, and cost, leveraging lessons learned and best practices.
· Ensure effective skill management and knowledge sharing within the team and across UIR scopes.
Experience :
· Experience in a challenging, high-tech environment with complex production processes.
· At least 6 years of relevant experience as a People Manager, Team Leader, Project Manager, or Project Leader.
· Experience with EUV systems and ASML products is strongly preferred.
· Proven experience working in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
· Strong ability to motivate, steer, and develop people at different levels of the organization.
· Capable of maintaining a global overview of operational and strategically important topics.
· Able to define and execute strategies for process and performance improvement.
· Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders across different organizational levels.
· Strong technical foundation and a solution-oriented mindset.
· Customer-focused with strong planning and organizational skills.
· Open to cultural diversity and international collaboration.
· Good command of English, both verbal and written.
