Introduction to the job 

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.  

Role and responsibilities 

As a Process Engineer for Coating, you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future‑ready manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include:  

Education and experience 

• You hold a degree in a scientific or technical field. 

•  You bring relevant professional experience in production and technical environments, enabling you to independently manage processes and support ramp‑up activities. 

• You have experience working with precision / fine mechanical systems (fine mechanics). 

• You have experience working with vacuum technology in an industrial or manufacturing environment. 

• You have experience working with gas safety systems, including safe handling and process‑relevant safety concepts. 

• You are experienced in analyzing large, heterogeneous data sets and in the statistical evaluation and preparation of data.  

• You have practical experience applying Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and continuous improvement methodologies. 

• You have experience creating manufacturing documentation and decision proposals to clearly define standards and processes. 

• You bring hands‑on experience in equipment procurement or optimization projects and in preparing requirement specifications. 

• You are familiar with escalation management and risk analyses (e.g. FMEA) to ensure process stability. 

• You are fluent in English and German to communicate effectively with international teams and D&E.

An unserem Standort in Berlin fertigen unsere Mitarbeitendenden Schlüsselkomponenten für die ASML Lithografiesysteme. Als Teil unserer Präzisionsfertigung unterstützt du bei der Produktion optischer Komponenten, Baugruppen sowie Systeme aus Glas, Glaskeramik und Keramik für unsere High-Tech-Kleinserien, Einzelteil- und Prototypenfertigung.

Deine Qualifikationen   

• Du hast ein abgeschlossenes naturwissenschaftliches oder technisches Studium. 

• Du verfügst über einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Produktions‑ und technischen Umfeld, die dich befähigt, Prozesse eigenständig zu betreuen und Ramp‑Up‑Projekte zu unterstützen. 

• Du hast Erfahrung im Umgang mit feinmechanischen Systemen (Feinmechanik). 

• Du bringst Erfahrung in der Vakuumtechnik und deren Anwendung im industriellen Umfeld mit. 

• Du hast Erfahrung im Umgang mit Gassicherheitstechnik, einschließlich sicherem Handling und prozessrelevanter Sicherheitskonzepte. 

• Du hast Erfahrung in der Analyse großer, heterogener Datenmengen sowie in der statistischen Aufbereitung und Auswertung von Daten. 

• Du hast Methoden wie Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA und KVP bereits in der Praxis angewendet. 

• Du bringst Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Fertigungsdokumenten und Entscheidungsvorlagen mit. 

• Du hast praktische Erfahrung in der Anlagenbeschaffung oder in Optimierungsprojekten sowie in der Erstellung von Lastenheften. 

• Du bist sicher im Umgang mit Eskalationsmanagement und Risikoanalysen (z. B. FMEA). 

• Du beherrschst Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher zur Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Schnittstellen und D&E‑Teams.
