The Strategic Decision Support (SDS) department supports strategic and complex decisions across ASML. As part of the Finance organization, SDS works on a broad range of topics including Capacity Planning, Footprint Strategy, Portfolio Management, Supplier Strategy and Cross-Sector Decision projects.
 

As a Strategic Decision Support Consultant, you will work alongside experienced colleagues and project teams to bring structure, insight, and analytical rigor to strategic decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in decision science, strategic analysis, and business strategy while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders across ASML.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support strategy and decision-making projects by helping teams structure complex business challenges and identify key decision drivers.
• Apply analytical and quantitative methods to evaluate strategic alternatives and assess opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.
• Translate business questions into analytical models and perform financial and scenario analyses.
• Prepare high-quality insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across sectors and functions to gather information, challenge assumptions, and build alignment.
• Contribute to the further development of ASML's Decision Quality (DQ) capabilities by applying best practices and helping teams make better decisions under uncertainty.
• Continuously develop your own expertise in decision science, strategy, analytics, and facilitation.

Education and Experience

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting, management consulting, corporate strategy, business analytics, finance, or a comparable environment.
• Affinity with strategic decision-making, business economics, and financial analysis.
• Experience with quantitative modelling, data analysis, or scenario analysis is essential.
• MBA or PhD is considered a plus but is not required.

The Strategic Decision Support department is a specialized team supporting strategic decision-making across ASML. The team works on high-visibility projects and partners closely with senior leaders throughout the organization.
