The Central Quality Engineering Program Manager manages and executes diverse engineering programs and projects, each with their own unique sets of challenges. This role is focused on executing on regulations and compliance across the world, such as the Digital Markets Act, Data Act, AI Act, and others. Designing scalable solutions to deliver on such regulations with desired quality typically requires working with expert teams across software engineering, operations, legal, and others. Apple teams that are needed to solve these problems are spread throughout the company, so it's imperative to be an expert at building and growing relationships.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the quality team to promote best practices and continuously improve program management processes. Additionally, you’ll drive XF projects across teams of highly skilled engineers and program managers, providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and driving excellence in their work. You must be comfortable operating independently in new and unfamiliar domains, quickly building competence in new regulations to inform your work. Success requires breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces, leveraging experts and owners, and adapting as we learn more. Teams expect us to - provide clear direction, collaborate to design solutions that are forward-thinking, help drive decisions, and deliver compliance outcomes for Apple. Strong communication is required for our success and credibility. You are required to synthesize complex issues into clear points. You must be able to tailor your communication to the appropriate context and seniority. You need to be able to write clearly, deliver effective presentations, and run large and difficult meetings. We also facilitate cross-functional coordination and collaboration across Apple.

Oversee the overarching Quality Engineering program lifecycle, facilitating cross-functional coordination and breaking down complex project goals into manageable milestones.
Act as the primary point of contact and strategic subject matter expert for "all things QA" on assigned projects.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify critical use cases for test plans and strategically plan comprehensive End-to-End (E2E) test coverage.
Own and manage the QA sign-off process end-to-end, driving critical decisions and ensuring product readiness.
Drive continuous status tracking and provide clear, tailored reporting to stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
Ensure strict audit readiness and maintain impeccable record integrity in alignment with evolving industry regulations and Apple's compliance standards.
Support and guide content creation related to quality standards, testing protocols, and compliance documentation.

Excellent stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
Versatile problem solver with a strong analytical mindset, adept at tackling challenges in complex environments through creative and critical thinking. Skilled in deconstructing problems, resolving conflicts, and leading teams to innovative solutions.
Ability to understand technical impact related to business requirements and propose solutions to technical constraints
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
6+ years experience as a Product Manager / Technical Program Manager / SW Architect / SW Engineer

A track record of managing company-wide, cross-functional legal projects
Demonstrated interest in tech law and policy, as well as experience working with legal and regulatory initiatives
Demonstrated excellence in building strong relationships across an organization
Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
