We’re looking for a Engineering Program Manager who’s excited to shape the future of how customers engage with services across all of Apples software offerings; the experiences that help users stay connected, organized, and seamlessly in sync. You’ll orchestrate complex cross-platform programs, navigate between fast-paced web development and client software cycles, and keep teams aligned as we deliver delightful, high-impact user experiences across Apple’s ecosystem (and beyond!). Partner with multiple Engineering leads to drive cross functional programs through delivery; inclusive of timelines, planning, requirements, and dependencies. This role requires you to build trust with engineering partners and persistently remove ambiguity by seeking to reduce complexity
Manage risks, mitigations, and drive alignment across the organization and between teams
Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to executive team
Coordinate discussions and break down complex issues into discussion topics to drive engineering and design alignment with support from project team, maintaining an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration
Proactively identify issues and solutions, and mobilize resources necessary to attack and resolve
Coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality, including cross-functional dependencies

5+ years of experience in Program / Project management successfully leading highly cross-functional software development
Experience leading large programs; from requirements gathering collaboration with product and design teams, through software development and release qualification while maintaining a high bar for quality
Proven self-starter, who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
Systems within this scope are complex, so you will not only be expected to be able to readily understand complicated and subtle interdependencies, but also to evaluate new requests and new information in light of these systems
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Proven record in defining processes, developing metrics and executing on them while driving program maturity and process optimization. Being able to think on your feet is important, as is the ability to thoughtfully and efficiently debate the validity of a given approach to any aspect of a project under your control

Past experience with mobile-first client side frameworks programs. Building a framework offering and driving/tracking adoption is a plus.
10+ years of experience in technical program management, service delivery, or engineering leadership
A history of leadership, decision making, negotiation skills, and ability to influence partners without direct authority
Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
Proven experience driving multi-team development schedules across both server and client environments
Hands-on experience driving AI initiatives - from early problem framing, data analysis, through development, evaluation, launch readiness and ongoing service management
Previous experience building customer facing products / services with foundational understanding of the technical details

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
