The Commercial team is involved in both the day-to-day running and long-term planning of Apple Music. The team provides strategic and operational support to the global Apple Music leadership team, leading fiscal planning across revenue, COGS, and operating costs.
- Partner with Apple Retail and Worldwide Sales teams to develop and deliver commercial initiatives for Apple Music across key distribution channels
- Identify priority distribution channels and growth opportunities to drive Apple Music subscriber and revenue impact, aligned with broader Apple business priorities.
- Define channel-specific commercial constructs, including offers, incentives, and packaging to drive subscriber acquisition, activation, and retention.
- Shape go-to-market strategies and tailor approaches across markets based on local market dynamics.
- Develop and evaluate business cases for initiatives, including opportunity sizing and prioritization, and translate them into a structured roadmap of commercial initiatives.
- Develop clear, compelling executive narratives and supporting materials, and drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making across multiple stakeholders
- 8–10 years of experience in strategy, commercial, business planning, or related functions.
- Proven success leading initiatives from insight through execution across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building business cases, including opportunity sizing and prioritization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, structured narratives for senior audiences
- Skilled at managing and influencing senior stakeholders, and driving cross-functional alignment and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in subscription-based or recurring revenue businesses, particularly in consumer digital services or media.
- Strong understanding of retail and sales organizations, including their priorities and decision-making processes.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
