As part of the Supply Chain Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in building end-to-end, best-in-class software solutions for Apple’s Supply Chain needs, spanning Planning, Pricing, and Product Distribution. You will design and implement robust data models, develop Python-based middleware services, and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define solutions that optimise Apple’s internal business processes.
- • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data models supporting both transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) workloads.
- • Build and maintain Python middleware layers that integrate upstream and downstream systems, enabling seamless data flow across the supply chain platform.
- • Develop and optimise ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability across large-volume databases.
- • Collaborate with multi-functional teams across the globe (US, Singapore, India, and Europe) to deliver cutting-edge solutions in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment.
- • Research, design, and implement complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies and data platforms.
- • Interact with internal business teams to translate requirements into robust, maintainable software.
- • Experienced in enterprise-level application development using advanced Oracle database technologies.
- • Strong data modelling skills — conceptual, logical, and physical — with the ability to design schemas that serve both operational and analytical use cases.
- • Proven experience developing Python middleware services (APIs, integration layers, data orchestration) and hands-on experience with large-volume databases for both OLTP and OLAP environments.
- • Proven expertise in ETL, performance optimisation, and maintenance of solutions based on Oracle databases.
- • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- • Experience with databases such as SingleStore, Oracle, Snowflake, NoSQL, or Graph.
- • Exposure to Product Pricing processes or pricing-related business domains.
- • Strong ability to research, design, and develop complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies.
- • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- • Experience with Python ecosystem tools (Pandas, SQLAlchemy, NumPy) for data manipulation and integration.
- • Experience in consuming and exposing web services (e.g., SOAP, REST).
- • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux platforms and scripting experience with Shell, XML, JSON.
- • AI/ML-related experience is a plus.
- • A strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG is a plus.
- • Experience in developing applications for the Supply Chain business domain is a plus.
