Apply Apple's Vision Products Group is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to drive quality for next-generation spatial computing experiences on visionOS. You'll act as the voice of the end-user within a high-performing engineering team, ensuring that complex, graphically rich applications meet the exceptional standard our customers expect from every Apple product. Your work will directly shape experiences enjoyed by millions of people worldwide.
In this role, you'll be embedded alongside software engineers, EPMs, and cross-functional QA partners — deeply learning the technology you test and translating that knowledge into rigorous testing strategies. - Assessing risk, filing actionable and well-documented defects, and driving them from discovery through resolution and regression
- Triaging issues, prioritizing effectively, and proposing resolutions using sound software testing methodology
- Identifying gaps in coverage and syncing with cross-functional QA and engineering partners to reduce duplication, strengthen testing, and resist regression
- Participating in design reviews to provide early-stage quality feedback and surface risk before it becomes defect
- Contributing to efforts that standardize and optimize test performance across the team
- Supporting daily triage and test result review to maintain signal quality and release readiness
- 3–5 years of experience working as a Software Quality Engineer
- In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools
- Proven experience developing test plans, test cases, and testing architectures that cover functionality and edge cases
- Strong ability to assess risk, file appropriate defects, and provide relevant data for test reporting

- Comfortable presenting analysis and test results clearly to engineering DRIs and cross-functional stakeholders
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
- Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools. Demonstrated ability to use them for design, code generation, and debugging.

- Interest or passion in photography, videography, or spatial media
- Familiarity with visionOS, iOS, or Apple's developer ecosystem (Xcode, Radar, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or Swift for scripting, tooling, or test support
- Experience developing ML-based testing frameworks and leveraging LLM tooling to improve efficiency, coverage, and reporting
