Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. Our ASO User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team is a Quality Team responsible for partnering cross functionally across Apple, with business and technical teams, to evaluate the functionality and integrity of our digital and transactional solutions. We are the quality leader chartered with validating and endorsing our digital solutions, overseeing final readiness, functionality, and the end-to-end customer journey for the Apple Store Online business and ensuring the experience that we create matches what we had envisioned for our customers. This role leads a team responsible for planning, execution, and reporting of UAT across the China region. It combines people leadership with deep technical ownership, requiring hands-on expertise across diverse customer journeys and their underlying transactional systems.
Success in this role demands strong proactiveness and inquisitiveness, the ability to anticipate risks ahead of time, and the judgment to guide the team in identifying and testing scenarios that thoroughly validate the solutions they support.
- Own overall ASO project test strategy and mobilization plan, ensuring alignment with the broader ASO Portfolio.
- Represent ASO in centralized, cross-functional testing efforts, partnering across teams to drive overall project success.
- Lead a team of UAT Project Managers, prioritizing resources and work streams under time constraints, while contributing to the continuous improvement of UAT processes aligned with industry best practices.
- Serve as a key driver of cross-functional testing collaboration with teams across Apple, onshore/offshore, and partner teams — ensuring synergy for successful UAT execution and data-centric reporting across the UAT portfolio.
- Develop deep subject matter expertise continuously across China E2E customer journeys, Order to Cash processes, and impacted systems to drive comprehensive UAT testing strategies, applying strong AI/ML validation skills and an automation-first mindset.
- Lead through ambiguity, providing clear, goal-oriented direction to teams that turns uncertainty into actions.
- 7+ years in UAT/QA/Quality e-commerce (online/marketplaces) transactional testing and project management experience navigating complex, integrated systems with aggressive timeline in both Waterfall and Agile landscapes.
- 3+ years of demonstrated leadership of a UAT/QA/Quality organization, testing resource management and experience attracting and retaining high-performing talent while fostering an inclusive, values-driven team culture.
- Proficiency in test planning and scripting, with experience implementing manual and automation test strategies to drive test efficiency.
- BA/BS degree in a business or technical field, or 10+ years relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, with a proactive ability to identify concerns early and rally teams to mitigate risks timely.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, quality first mindset, and enjoys both hands-on work and high-level strategic thinking with a genuine passion for innovation and continuous process improvement.
- Proven relationship-building skills, established as a trusted advisor to partner teams, with strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Sees around corners, identifies potential areas of concern, has a sense of urgency, and can rally teams to review and mitigate risk in a program.
- Is open to feedback, self-motivated and enthusiastic, enjoys solving problems with teammates, and has demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- Has worked within a regional / global organization.
- PMP or Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
