Build Agentic AI systems that deliver personalized, relevant advertising content across nine marketing channels to millions of Amazon Ads advertisers worldwide — from email and in-app experiences to SMS and portal integrations. You'll work on zero-to-one initiatives that accelerate advertisers' business outcomes at every lifecycle stage.
The MEI (Marketing Engagement Infrastructure) Gateway team enhances the Amazon Ads advertiser experience by delivering personalized, engaging content across marketing channels including ads.amazon.com, Amazon Ads Academy, Email, Seller Central, Vendor Central, and more. These channels are powered by our marketing infrastructure services and internal communication tooling — including Optimo, a communication creation and management platform that enables Amazon Ads teams to communicate with advertisers worldwide across email and in-UI channels. As part of this team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, scientists, and engineers to architect solutions and deliver high-quality, scalable code. You'll contribute to Agentic AI initiatives powering Amazon's rapidly growing advertising business while working alongside experienced Senior SDEs with excellent opportunities to solve complex problems and grow your career.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive technical direction and build Agentic AI systems that power personalized advertiser engagement across multiple marketing channels
- Design, develop, and operate scalable services that deliver relevant content to millions of advertisers worldwide in real time
- Own end-to-end system delivery — architecture, code quality, testing, production deployment, and operational support
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, scientists, and engineers to define requirements and architect solutions
- Build and maintain marketing infrastructure services that support nine distinct communication channels at scale
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and drive continuous improvement in system reliability and performance
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
