Senior Finance Analyst for AP - 6 Months Contract, FinOps Settlement Team

This is a 6 months fixed-term contract role.

Join Amazon's European Financial Operations team in Bratislava and play a key role in how we manage financial relationships with vendors across Europe. You'll work at the intersection of data analysis, problem-solving and vendor engagement - ensuring that financial disputes are resolved accurately and efficiently, while driving improvements that prevent them from happening again.

This is more than a transactional role. You'll be part of an international, collaborative team where your analytical thinking directly impacts how Amazon partners with some of the world's most recognized brands.

Key job responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve vendor financial disputes across European marketplaces, working within Accounts Payable operations
- Perform root-cause analysis to identify defects in financial processes and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and management to drive resolution and process improvements
- Communicate directly with international suppliers to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
- Identify patterns and propose preventive measures to reduce future disputes
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-moving, Pan-European team

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries
- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency in one or more major European languages (Spanish, French, Italian, or German) is a plus
- Knowledge of Excel

The minimum gross base pay salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
