You'll work at the intersection of AI product development and learning science, partnering directly with software engineering teams to embed a common teaching methodology into the tools they build. This role owns the product strategy for AI-powered training capabilities — not as a standalone learning platform, but as integrated features within the developer tools that Amazon's worldwide logistics workforce uses daily.
Your primary customers are the software teams building these tools. You'll define how coaching, guided practice, and contextual instruction get architected into their platforms — requiring you to understand their codebases, APIs, and system constraints well enough to write technical requirements they can build from. You'll drive alignment across disparate engineering teams to deliver a cohesive learning experience that feels unified to the end user despite living across multiple tool surfaces.
The successful candidate brings 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 of those years shipping developer-facing products — tools, platforms, SDKs, or APIs where your key stakeholders were engineers. You've written technical specs, participated in architecture discussions, and made integration tradeoffs across teams with different tech stacks. You understand how LLM-powered features get built, deployed, and measured in production. While the mission is learning, the daily work is technical product leadership: unblocking engineering dependencies, negotiating platform extensibility patterns, and driving convergence across teams that don't share a codebase.
You'll translate learning science into buildable, scalable product requirements that engineering teams respect and ship against.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap for embedding AI-powered learning capabilities into logistics tools — prioritizing based on engineering feasibility, user impact, and cross-platform dependencies
- Serve as the primary product interface between 5+ tool builder teams with independent codebases, driving convergence toward a unified teaching methodology without requiring shared infrastructure
- Negotiate platform extensibility patterns and API contracts that allow individual tool teams to implement learning features consistently while preserving their development velocity
- Partner with Science and Engineering teams to define how LLM-powered coaching, contextual guidance, and adaptive learning features get built, tested, and deployed into production
- Own the experimentation framework — define hypotheses, design A/B tests, and interpret results to determine which AI-driven interventions measurably improve learning outcomes
- Define KPIs that measure both learning effectiveness (skill acquisition, time-to-proficiency, error reduction) and product health (adoption, engagement, feature utilization)
- Align Operations, L&D, and Engineering leadership on quarterly priorities — translating technical constraints into business language and business needs into engineering requirements
- Write product narratives (PRFAQs, BRDs, technical specs) that withstand scrutiny from both senior business leaders and principal engineers
