We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to support our rapidly growing and evolving global digital video business. Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies, TV shows, and sports. As a Business Operations Manager for Prime Video, reporting into the Head of Business Strategy of Prime Video in Germany, Poland, Central & Eastern Europe, you will work with our local team in Munich to ensure operations and strategy are executed to support the growth of Prime Video in alignment within the priorities of our global framework while considering local nuance. The role will help drive reporting and planning mechanisms, dive deep into analyses of key business metrics, align with cross-functional stakeholders on priority workstreams, support adjacent functions to facilitate operational excellence and own dedicated programs as project manager.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the roadmap in Germany, implementing plans to meet business and customer objectives.
• Provide objective recommendations to senior leadership based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of customer and environmental information.
• Manage, support and own key mechanisms with senior stakeholders from WBRs to MBR and QBR. Ensure review outputs translate into clear action items, owners, and follow-ups.
• Content launch learning & optimization: Build and own the feedback loop post-launch. Identify learnings and drive automations to improve efficiency at scale.
• Collaborate with partner teams to help business teams stay connected and move quickly on shared priorities.
• Own mechanisms to identify and implement improvements for customers every day.
• Formalize how local learnings travel, ensuring what works in one market gets replicated in others.
• Provide ideas for new initiatives or process improvements using primary customer research, external data, and marketing & business metrics to derive insights and shape recommendations.
• Build profound business knowledge and act as an informed advisor to all stakeholders, based on data, experience and local expertise.
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of business objectives.
A day in the life
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders from our content, commercial and operational teams to drive business strategies aligned with overarching priorities. As part of the Prime Video Business Strategy team, you will interact with internal Prime Video teams as well as other adjacent teams across Amazon to bring these strategies to life. You will own reporting and planning mechanisms and co-manage content launches to secure operational excellence. You will collaborate with Amazon peers and counterparts across Europe and the world to leverage best-practice examples.
About the team
You will be part of the Business Strategy DE/PL/CEE team, a local team delivering sub-regional Business and Content Programming strategy for Prime Video. Reporting into the Head of Business Strategy of Prime Video in Germany, Poland, Central & Eastern Europe, you will work on recurring planning, reporting and operational mechanisms, as well as bespoke projects and wider initiatives. You will work with your peers in other sub-regional Business Strategy teams and the central Europe, Middle East & Africa Business Operations team to facilitate cross-regional synergies and scalability.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams
- Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions
- Experience with basic web-based tools and products like Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
