Key job responsibilities
- Build the GenAI-powered future of Prime experiences — design and develop Agentcore infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration, and autonomous experimentation capabilities.
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market — from natural language program configuration to AI-driven CX generation.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, including Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication frameworks, ML-powered recommendation engines, and real-time event-driven orchestration systems.
- Create solutions that run at incredible scale and speed — our platform serves hundreds of millions of Prime customers across dozens of countries, processing millions of state transitions daily.
- Build distributed, fault-tolerant systems that are scalable, low cost, and easy to manage — from experience orchestration engines to incentive management platforms.
- Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems — you'll own features end-to-end, from architecture to production deployment.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software with development cycles measured in weeks, not years.

About the team
Our vision is to deliver enticing and engaging multi-step experiences that influence Prime customers to act and make decisions more efficiently and quickly. We build mechanisms and technologies focused on delivering seamless multi-step experiences to achieve business goals. These solutions empower Prime teams — Acquisition, Onboarding, Engagement, and Retention — as well as other organizations, to effectively engage customers throughout their membership lifecycle, helping achieve business goals through scalable, error-free, and timely delivery of customer benefits. This approach allows us to address churn by providing personalized, relevant experiences at each stage of the customer journey.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience, or Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
