Drive continuous performance improvement across Amazon's First Mile External Fulfillment operations in Brazil through strategic training design, hands-on field execution, and data-driven impact measurement. As a First Mile Learning Coordinator, you'll own the end-to-end learning cycle—from identifying operational gaps through station visits to delivering targeted training solutions and validating measurable results against key performance metrics. You'll partner directly with operations teams to define learning objectives, execute training strategies across multiple stakeholder groups (external partners, leadership, and UTR teams), and ensure every training initiative translates into sustained operational improvement.
Key job responsibilities
Define learning objectives and target operational metrics in partnership with operations teams, ensuring every training initiative is directly linked to measurable performance outcomes
Execute the training strategy across all First Mile stakeholder groups (external partners, station leadership, and UTR/OTR teams), balancing priorities and sequencing actions based on business impact
Conduct Learning Needs Assessments to identify skill gaps and build quarterly training plans that address the needs of all stakeholders served by the program
Direct hands-on project execution for operational improvement initiatives, deploying to First Mile stations to conduct Gembas, identify performance opportunities, and implement targeted improvement plans
Provide on-site support during peak periods, accelerating volume ramp-up through real-time coaching and training reinforcement at station level
Measure and report training effectiveness through structured before-vs-after performance analysis, validating that learning solutions deliver sustained metric improvement
Design and maintain training products for diverse audiences, adapting content and delivery methods to the specific needs of external fulfillment partners, internal leaders, and operational teams
A day in the life
Your morning starts by reviewing operational performance data from First Mile stations, identifying where metrics indicate potential training gaps. You connect with the operations team to align on a cluster showing performance deviation and begin scoping a targeted intervention.
Mid-morning, you're on-site at a Seller Processing Center conducting a Gemba walk. You observe workflows, speak with associates and leaders, and document specific opportunities where training can drive improvement. You capture findings that will feed into your quarterly Training Needs Assessment.
After lunch, you join a virtual session with an external partner group going through a new operational training module you developed. You monitor engagement, answer questions in real time, and note areas where content needs reinforcement.
Late afternoon, you analyze performance data from a training initiative you delivered three weeks ago, comparing pre- and post-training metrics to validate impact.
You close the day updating your quarterly training plan, rebalancing priorities across stakeholders based on new inputs from the Gemba and the latest performance data. You flag an upcoming peak period that will require on-site ramp-up support and begin coordinating logistics.
Every day blends field presence, stakeholder collaboration, data analysis, and training execution, all focused on ensuring learning solutions drive real, measurable operational improvement across the First Mile network.
