We’re looking for a First Mile Regional Manager to join our First Mile team in Mexico City, MX. In this role, you will provide inspiring and hands-on leadership across multiple operations sites. You’ll be responsible for developing a team of Shift Managers and their direct reports, while reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager.
You lead by example, whether by coaching your team to perform at their best or stepping in to support when needed. You are passionate about building efficient processes and driving strong performance, while balancing business goals with a people-first mindset.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in the overall management, control, and strategic direction of the Seller Processing Center (SCP). Your main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards in your area of responsibility, while fostering a strong culture of safety on-site
- Gaining expertise in large-scale SCP processes, such as conducting 5S audits and promoting operational excellence
- Managing inventory control and system-related tasks, including accurate data collection and real-time updates of operational metrics
- Driving productivity improvements, reducing cost per unit, minimizing errors, and ensuring an outstanding experience for both customers and sellers
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, and IT, to align on staffing plans, schedules, and performance expectations
- Leading process improvement initiatives and supporting cross-functional Six Sigma projects across your sites and the wider Amazon Transportation network in México
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Experience hiring and developing highly effective and diverse teams.
- Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field
- 5+ years of root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish and English at C1 level or above
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline), or CMA
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
