Amazon’s Transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help develop a world class transportation network that delivers our freight on time and at the best possible cost. Our team’s objective is to design and implement routing solutions for freight.
As Transportation Analyst you will be analyzing and reporting on our daily, weekly and monthly metrics. You will be working with business partners to run variance analysis, set targets and streamlining processes to improve KPIs.
This position will be part of the development and execution of new transportation initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and to meet the growing demand for transportation capacity.
Key job responsibilities
Standardize and automatize transportation planning processes using advanced computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Identifying opportunities to optimize the transportation network.
Design processes for Line haul transportation planning, route selection and optimization.
Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools.
About the team
The Trans Execution BR team at AMZL Brazil is a newly established, high-impact function responsible for the end-to-end management of Brazil's delivery network. Our scope encompasses capacity planning, demand forecasting, scheduling and route optimization, and risk management across all delivery channels. We are building this team from the ground up, with a mission to transform a highly manual, Excel-driven process into a scalable, automated, and data-driven operation that serves the full spectrum of Amazon's delivery models in Brazil.
We operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where operational rigor and innovative thinking go hand in hand. We are part of a global community of Trans Execution teams, with counterparts in Japan, India, and other geographies, and we actively collaborate across borders to share best practices and co-develop technology solutions. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, supply chain or engineering
- Experience manipulating large sets of data, summarizing into metrics, and conducting appropriate statistical tests (e.g., regression, t-test, chi-square)
- Experience using Excel at an advanced level including practical knowledge of VBA/macros and advanced Excel functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
