Amazon MGM Studios Canada is seeking dynamic Theatrical Marketing Manager to design and implement innovative marketing campaigns for our Canadian theatrical releases. Based in Toronto, Canada, this role combines analytical prowess with creative marketing instincts to develop strategies that drive audience engagement and box office performance.
Key job responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and activation plans for high-profile theatrical film campaigns
- Manage and optimize marketing budgets for assigned titles
- Analyze market trends and audience insights to refine campaign positioning
- Establish and monitor campaign KPIs and success metrics in collaboration with senior leadership
- Drive innovation in audience engagement strategies and emerging technologies
Creative Execution
- Lead creative direction across all marketing assets for assigned titles
- Oversee localization of marketing materials
- Maintain brand consistency while ensuring maximum creative impact
- Direct and manage relationships with external creative partners
Media & Partnerships
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic media plans spanning traditional, digital and emerging platforms for assigned films
- Collaborate with media agencies on campaign optimization
- Foster strategic brand, media and co-promotional partnerships
- Align with domestic Media team on best practices
Experiential Marketing & Events
- Spearhead special projects and events to drive awareness
- Manage external agencies and stakeholders in campaign execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with rest of Theatrical Marketing team on campaign development
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including distribution, PR, and domestic teams
- Ensure optimal theatrical visibility through distribution channels
- Provide creative leadership and inspire innovative solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
- 5+ years experience in theatrical marketing, or high-profile content marketing within the entertainment, media or creative industries
- Experience in traditional and digital advertising channels
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience using data (Excel, Tableau, etc) to inform decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
