The ACES Process Improvement Specialist will drive initiatives focused in improving site’s and region’s capacity, cost, quality and customer experience. Those initiatives include benchmarking through auditing and leadership coaching, standard-work optimization, and process improvement piloting and implementation. In addition, the process improvement specialist will act as the link between the region to the SSD Field Programs team, and will manage escalations, intakes, deep-dives and approvals to resolve barriers and issues the region is facing.
This role partners with both internal and external program management, technical teams, and is able to build relationships with colleagues across SSD Buildings, tech, and support teams. This role is both a collaborator focused on implementing network-wide initiatives, as well as the primary Cost & Quality partner for Operations General Managers. To be successful in this role; you need to pair analytical skills, a data-driven outlook with great communication skills, be a proven leader of leaders, ability to deal with ambiguity in the constantly changing/fast paced environment, able to prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews with clear and effective narratives to senior management.
Key job responsibilities
1. The Process Improvement Specialist will complete monthly benchmarking cycles to drive site level process path improvements.
2. The Process Improvement Specialist will drive selected KPIs through flagging in regional DBR/WBR and sending weekly recaps. In addition, the regional PIS will support Field Programs team pilots in the region.
3. The Process Improvement Specialist will lead a quarterly regional improvement project tackling a problem or opportunity aligned on with the GM.
4. The Processes Improvement Specialist will own an annual network improvement project. In addition, the regional PIS will participate in quarterly SSD ACES process paths kaizens.
5. The Process Improvement Specialist will develop trust relationships with all OMs, SLs, and GMs in the region.
6. The Process Improvement Specialist will mentor leaders from the region and will support interviewing talent to the region when possible.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
- Experience working in an operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in lean or six sigma methodologies for operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design
- Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g. definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendor development, quality assurance, design and cost improvement, team and stakeholder engagement)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
