Key job responsibilities
As a GPV Investigator, you will be part of a team responsible for inspecting and auditing products sold by third-party sellers on Amazon.com store for various defects impacting Amazon’s customers. You will leverage various tools (microscopes, x-ray, et al), systems, standard operating procedures and job aids to assist in identifying product quality defects across a range of programs.The below are key areas of responsibility of this role:
* You will be expected to meet weekly investigative targets established by leadership.
* You be expected to meet weekly quality assurance goals as defined by leadership.
* You will also identify opportunities to improve our internal processes and procedures to help streamline our day-to-day operations.
* You will work closely with leadership and Sr. Investigators in identifying tends and themes to assist our internal customers, Product Quality stakeholders, in driving upstream improvements in Seller quality metrics, and overall cx.
A day in the life
As a GPV Investigator 2, here's what your typical day-to-day activities look like:
* Conduct product investigations
* Follow established investigation procedures
* Focus on low to medium complexity issues
* Update investigation tracking systems
* Attend team meetings
The role focuses on building expertise in Global Product Verification (GPV) investigation techniques, which involves verifying that products meet global quality standards, analyzing product deviations, conducting product investigations across international markets, and contributing to GMP compliance and the overall quality system.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Experience using computers and the internet
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience working with large datasets, determining trends/patterns which can be used for value decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or Associate's degree
- 2+ years of fraud/risk investigations experience
- 3+ years of implementing metric-based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts, or 2+ years of fraud identification and detection, investigation and analysis for root causing and providing suitable preventive mechanisms experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
