The successful candidate has project/program management experience, is highly organized, must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments and stakeholders simultaneously. They will have the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. They will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision. They will be comfortable in finding solutions to make the best use of the technical tooling. They will be comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment, where change and ambiguity are present as we constantly grow, improve and innovate. They will be responsible for owning and managing medium to large localization initiatives. They will also manage relationships with translation service providers and freelancers to ensure timely delivery of localized content.
Key job responsibilities
· Effectively manage localization projects from project intake to final delivery.
· Ensure a consistent global experience through application and ongoing iteration of our localization strategies.
· Work successfully with project partners and stakeholders across various locations and time zones.
· Contribute to development of localization standards, systems, and best practices.
· Partner with technology teams to drive improvements to existing tools or develop use cases for new technological solutions.
· Balance competing priorities through great time management, organizational skills, and judgment.
· Actively seek, clarify, and understand information from end users and stakeholders to drive quality and efficacy of localization processes and deliverables.
· Write, edit, review and maintain localization process document.
· Create and analyze reports of localization data, to identify patterns and derive insights through large volumes of data around volume, quality, cost, turnaround time and productivity.
About the team
At Translation Services Operations, the SPS Language Experience, Localization and Insights (LELI) team develops high-quality, user-centered content for the companies and individuals who sell goods and services through Amazon, and for the teams that help these selling partners when they contact Seller Support. The LELI Organization’s goal is to remove language barriers between selling partners and Amazon teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams
- Experience in Lean methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce
- Experience working with clients
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
