We are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Technician to join our growing team within networking scaling. The position responsibilities involve delivering the hardware, configuration and fiber connectivity of interdependent scaling projects across several data center locations. The Network Technician will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution in association with Technical Program Managers.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has significant experience in supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. They will be highly competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.

Key job responsibilities
The Network Deployment Technician is responsible for delivering hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity for interdependent scaling projects across multiple data center locations. This role involves racking, stacking, and cabling network hardware such as switches, routers, patch panels, and optical distribution frames in accordance with approved designs and site-specific safety standards. Device configuration duties include executing turn-up procedures per standard build templates, performing firmware upgrades, configuration, and end-to-end connectivity validation. The technician interfaces with external vendors for equipment delivery, installation support, and warranty resolution, while collaborating with internal teams including Design, Capacity Planning, and Operations. Maintaining accurate deployment records, following change management processes, and ensuring compliance with data center safety standards and environmental guidelines are essential aspects of the role. The technician performs pre- and post-deployment quality checks to ensure zero-defect handover to operations teams, identifies risks and blockers, and proposes process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce rework. Key competencies include fiber optics, structured cabling, network hardware configuration, multi-site project delivery, vendor management, stakeholder communication, safety compliance, and documentation excellence.

Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational
Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility
Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience with networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of networking protocols, to include HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
- industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+)
Preferred Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- 1+ year of experience in any of the following or similar technical or vocational roles: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations
