About the role
Amazon NOW is scaling a quick-commerce network of micro-fulfilment centres across India, operated through third-party partners and served by a fast-evolving stack of warehouse, replenishment and last-mile tools. This role owns the operational health of that stack. You will be the single-threaded owner connecting UTR (under-the-roof) and OTR (on-the-road) operations to the product and tech teams building HWMS and the tools around it, making sure what gets built actually works on the floor, deploys cleanly across hundreds of sites, and moves the metrics that matter.
You will sit at the seam between operations and product. You will translate ground realities into product requirements, hold the bar on tool inputs and readiness before deployment, drive the change management that gets new tools adopted across a distributed 3P network, and quantify every change in terms of customer experience and cost.
Key job responsibilities
What you will do
Own the operational roadmap for HWMS and the UTR and OTR tool set (receiving, picking, stowing, cycle counting, reversals, transshipment, yard and last-mile tools), representing operations in the product development cycle.
Partner with product and tech teams on requirements, BRDs and prioritisation, and hold a governance bar that no tool deploys without operations sign-off and validated inputs.
Lead change management for tool rollouts across 600-plus 3P-operated sites: readiness, training, communication, adoption tracking and course-correction.
Build the business case for each initiative by quantifying the customer-experience and cost tradeoffs, tying tool and process changes to cost-to-serve, productivity, and availability.
Drive major transitions (for example, migration to a next-generation WMS), coordinating anchor-site pilots, defect resolution and phased scale-up.
Diagnose where broken tool inputs (for example, gas-tank, bin configuration or cube accuracy) are causing downstream operational failures, and drive them to closure with the owning teams.
Manage a wide stakeholder set across operations, product, supply chain, central operations, finance and 3P partners, building the trust needed to get change adopted.
Establish the mechanisms, metrics and review cadences that keep the network's operational health visible and improving.
