The Supply Chain Manager supports the Amazon Leo for Government team focusing on government and commercial customers. You are responsible for supporting our effort to deliver a scalable supply chain planning, sourcing, procurement, and logistics approach for our business.
The person filling this role will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about supply chain challenges across planning, sourcing, procurement, and logistics. They will be familiar with supply chain operations, have experience supporting hardware or satellite-related procurement, and understand relevant compliance requirements for government and commercial programs. The person filling this role will leverage their knowledge and skills to inform sourcing decisions, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive procurement execution. They will support ALG-specific supply chain initiatives, delivering independently while seeking and accepting direction when needed.
Key job responsibilities
-Support demand planning processes across ALG to forecast material, service, and resource requirements in support of Amazon Leo production and customer delivery timelines
-Develop and maintain demand signals that inform procurement strategies, inventory positioning, and logistics planning
-Build and refine planning processes and tools that scale with organizational growth and increasing operational complexity
-Support end-to-end sourcing and procurement for hardware components, software, services, and contingent workforce across ALG
-Develop and execute category strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, supplier quality, delivery performance, and risk mitigation
-Support RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract execution for strategic and high-value procurement activities
-Ensure procurement compliance with organizational policies, government requirements, and applicable regulations across all spend categories
-Manage purchase order lifecycle from requisition through receipt, invoice reconciliation, and closeout
-Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance scorecards, business reviews, and development plans
-Conduct supplier qualifications, assessments, and audits to ensure capability alignment with ALG quality, delivery, and compliance standards
-Develop and maintain an approved supplier list and drive supplier diversification strategies to reduce single-source risk
-Monitor supplier health indicators and proactively manage supply disruptions through risk mitigation and contingency planning
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience
- 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
