Amazon is looking for a high-judgment Communications Manager to join our global Trust & Reputation team, focusing on risk and issues management for some of our consumer technology businesses—including Alexa+, Ring, Kindle, Fire TV, and Amazon Leo.
In this role, you will define and build the issues management approach for one of Amazon's Devices & Services programs. You'll identify potential risks, develop comprehensive communications strategies and playbooks to address them, provide counsel on business and policy decisions, manage reactive issues and news cycles, and execute communications strategies that protect and strengthen customer trust. You'll work across a wide range of topics—from customer experience and privacy/security issues to environmental, safety, and broader societal concerns.
You will navigate a matrixed global organization, building strong cross-functional relationships with business, legal, and public policy leaders. You must demonstrate excellent judgment, earn trust with internal stakeholders, dive deep into complex topics, and clearly articulate ideas in written and verbal communications. The ability to anticipate potential headwinds and effectively advocate for decisions that protect the long-term interests of Amazon and its customers is essential.
If you're a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and loves diving into complex consumer technology issues, this role might be a great fit.
