Key job responsibilities
Own executive-level supplier relationships for critical space hardware, driving contract execution, delivery performance, cost, quality, capacity, and long-term strategic partnerships.
Monitor and resolve supply chain challenges, including material availability, manufacturing capacity, and logistics constraints, to ensure predictable, on-time delivery across multiple production sites.
Drive supplier performance against contractual commitments, proactively identifying risks and leading recovery plans to maintain program schedule and business objectives.
Lead supplier readiness for production by ensuring manufacturing processes, tooling, capacity, and operational maturity support high-rate production of large composite space structures.
Develop and execute supplier strategies that improve supply chain resilience, including identifying, qualifying, and onboarding additional suppliers, expanding manufacturing capacity, and reducing single-source dependencies.
Partner with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve complex technical and production challenges while ensuring alignment with Amazon Leo program objectives.
Lead strategic sourcing and supplier development initiatives, evaluating emerging suppliers, manufacturing capabilities, technology roadmaps, and investment opportunities to support future program growth.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier operations, improving yield, throughput, cycle time, manufacturing efficiency, and overall delivery predictability.
Lead commercial negotiations and work closely with business leaders, engineering, legal, program management, and supply chain teams to develop and negotiate term sheets, NDAs, MOUs, Statements of Work (SOWs), development agreements, purchase agreements, and other strategic commercial contracts.
Build trusted relationships with supplier executives and cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decision-making and enabling transparent issue resolution across technical, commercial, and operational organizations.
Serve as the executive interface between Amazon Leo and strategic suppliers, leading cross-functional efforts to resolve critical production, technical, and commercial issues while ensuring reliable execution of mission-critical deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
