The APB Global Sourcing team is looking for customer-obsessed and self-driven individuals to lead supplier life cycle management and drive on-going business growth for Hardlines Private Brands business. The role will lead a talented team of sourcing managers to drive the global sourcing process from A to Z including new product development, product sourcing, vendor relationship management, cost negotiation, and business P&L management. You will build a global network to collaborate with international stakeholders from every function across Amazon Private Brands organization, including Business Management, Product Development, Supply Chain and Operation. Notably, you will also partner with APB Technology and Intelligence team to co-develop technical solutions and automate sourcing processes with the most advanced AI models in the world.
The candidate must have strong business acumen, strategic agility and a knack for identifying opportunities to design / implement long-term solutions. He or she must be capable of driving business impact and delivering results while dealing with ambiguity. A successful candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, creative, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in working in a global team dealing with multi-stakeholders and diversified cultures, as well as willing to lead the team with empathy and develop talents to grow.
Key job responsibilities
· Lead a team of product sourcing managers to drive business growth and profitability in an extensive range of Hardlines categories (i.e. Sports, Outdoors, Furniture, Lawn & Garden, Toys).
· Hire and develop the team with continuous coaching. Provide regular, actionable feedback to others that could improve their performance and unleash their potential. Support people's growth to achieve their career development goals.
· Partner with Global Product Development Managers, Regional Business Managers, Supply Chain, Quality, and other stakeholder teams to develop global sourcing and supply chain strategies , launching and managing products globally.
· Identify and realize business optimization opportunities and drive sourcing excellence leveraging global industry knowledge, vendor negotiation, resourcing and cost benchmarking.
· Drive for continual improvement and innovation across our sourcing activities, including vendor management, cost improvement, portfolio optimization and global supply chain efficiency.
· Collaborate with APB Technology team to develop tools and automate processes, elevating operation efficiency for vendors and sourcing team.
· Write professional business documents to provide leadership updates and lead strategic initiatives for stakeholders’ alignment.

Amazon Private Brand Global Sourcing team partners with suppliers capable of producing and shipping high-quality products globally, with a focus on driving profitable and sustainable business growth.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of team management experience
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of change
- Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering team to meet high-reaching goals
- Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar
