Account Manager, Amazon Vendor Services - Protected categories (L. 68/99)

AVS is a paid B2B service that helps strategically grow complex brands on Amazon. As an Account Manager (internally referred to as Senior Brand Specialist), you will own and drive the strategic relationship with a portfolio of complex vendor accounts operating across multiple EU marketplaces. You will navigate the unique dynamics of each market while building unified, customer-centric business plans that create value for both end customers and your vendor partners. You will own your vendors' annual Vendor Growth Plans (VGPs) and be a key contributor to Joint Business Planning (JBP), shaping the 3-year strategic direction alongside your vendors. You will translate performance insights into strategic priorities across four key areas: selection and product lifecycle management, supply-chain and operational excellence, marketing and brand visibility, and commercial performance optimization. You will leverage advanced data analytics and generative AI tools to identify growth opportunities, inform business planning, and develop solutions that balance vendor goals with customer experience. In a fast-evolving environment where data, tools, and customer expectations change rapidly, you will be expected to move with speed, embrace new technologies, and find creative solutions that require novel approaches not yet tested before. . Working cross-functionally with partner teams across Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing, you will lead initiatives that drive sustainable, long-term growth.

Key job responsibilities
- Commercial Performance & Strategic Planning: Own and drive the growth strategy for a portfolio of complex Pan-EU vendor accounts. Develop and own strategic, customer-centric Vendor Growth Plans (VGPs) and contribute to Joint Business Planning (JBP), using data-driven insights to set priorities and create solutions for both end customers and vendor partners

- Availability & Operational Excellence: Lead Pan-EU supply-chain strategy, driving cost reduction, defect elimination, and operational improvements at scale across your portfolio

- Marketing & Brand Visibility: Define and execute marketing strategies that drive traffic, conversion, and brand growth. Partner with Amazon Advertising and vendor teams to deliver measurable customer and business impact

- Selection & Product Lifecycle: Drive strategic selection expansion and product lifecycle management. Identify market gaps, lead new product launches, and ensure the end-customer experience meets the highest bar

- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with internal teams (Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing), and translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform both short-term actions and long-term planning

- People Development: Act as a mentor and coach to junior team members, supporting their growth and development within the team

The applicable collective agreement for this role is CCNL per i dipendenti di imprese esercenti servizi di telecomunicazione . The position is classified at level 7 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing strategic initiatives
- Experience in Retail, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or a client/vendor-facing environment such as sales or negotiation
- Experience owning end-to-end account or business performance outcomes
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English (minimum C1 level)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience managing or influencing senior stakeholders in a commercial or client-facing context

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using generative AI tools to enhance workflows or decision-making, with effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to make high-quality decisions with speed, even when information is incomplete
- Demonstrated ability to respectfully challenge decisions and advocate for customers using data-driven arguments
- Experience mentoring or developing junior team members
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure to complex, undefined problems
- Knowledge of another European language (preferably German, French, Italian or Spanish)

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
