Turn the data behind Amazon's largest third-party fulfillment business into decisions that senior leaders act on. FBA EU is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer III to own the analytics infrastructure, metrics, and self-service tooling that drive how we grow Seller selection, profitability, and the Seller experience across the EU marketplaces. You will design large-scale BI solutions for loosely defined, strategic problems, partner directly with business and finance teams, and set the team's BI standards.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale BI solutions (data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, dashboards, analytical frameworks) that are robust, extensible, and scalable.
- Define and drive the team's BI strategy and data architecture, making long- and short-term technical trade-offs that balance business needs.
- Partner with business, finance, and program stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into metric definitions, KPIs, and a single source of truth for FBA EU.
- Build and automate recurring reporting mechanisms (WBR/MBR/QBR, leadership deep-dives) using SQL, Python, and AWS, eliminating manual work.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to management audiences through narratives and data visualizations, and drive business understanding of results.
- Mentor and develop other BIEs, raise the bar on data-quality and code standards, and perform BIE technical assessments.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
