This is an 18-month fixed-term contract.
We are looking for a Speed programs manager to own end-to-end capacity planning for High Volume Events (HVE) across the EU5 Same Day network. This role sits
within the Speed Programs team and is responsible for ensuring our stations are resourced, planned, and ready to deliver on our customer promise during the most
demanding periods of the year — Prime Day, Peak (Black Friday/Cyber Monday), and other high-volume events.
You will work backwards from demand forecasts to build station-level capacity plans, identify gaps before they become misses, and drive cross-functional alignment
with Last Mile, Middle Mile, Operations, and partner teams to close them. You will own the planning calendar, mechanisms, and governance that ensure the network
moves from "plan" to "ready" with full accountability at each milestone.
This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, can translate large data sets into clear capacity decisions, and can hold partner teams
accountable to shared commitments under time pressure. You will be the single-threaded owner for HVE capacity readiness across EU5 Same Day — when Peak arrives,
your plans are what the network executes against.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Own the EU5 Same Day HVE capacity planning process end-to-end: demand ingestion, gap identification, action tracking, and readiness sign-off
- Build and maintain station-level capacity models for all Peak events, working with forecasting, operations, and network teams
- Identify capacity gaps (mechanical, OTR, UTR) early and drive resolution through established levers (DILO changes, route additions, overlap jurisdiction, CPT
shifts)
- Create and run the governance mechanisms (WBRs, readiness reviews, escalation paths) that ensure the network hits readiness milestones on schedule
- Partner with Operations, Last Mile, Middle Mile, and Tech teams to align inputs and commitments
- Produce clear, data-driven recommendations for senior leadership when trade-offs are required
- Build post-event retrospectives that feed learnings back into the next planning cycle
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of capacity planning concepts
- Experience in program or project management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Bachelor's degree
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SQL
