Reinvent how the everything store moves and sorts, well, everything inside an Amazon warehouse. This is a next-generation, first-party conveyance and sortation platform that is still early enough that the person in this role will help define what it becomes. Join a team building from a clean sheet, where the constraints are physics and imagination rather than the last generation of equipment.
As the Senior PMT for Infeeds, you are the single-threaded owner of everything that puts product into the system, the one person accountable for the infeed portfolio end-to-end. That spans the human-operated stations in our first building and the automated infeeds that will augment them as the platform matures. You will balance the tactical and the strategic in the same week: making the call that unblocks the current build on Monday, and shaping the multi-year infeed roadmap on Thursday. This is a high-visibility role with direct executive exposure. Your recommendations will be read and debated by senior leaders, and your judgment will influence where the platform invests next.
Your days will move between deep technical partnership and open-ended product discovery. Your products are mechatronic in nature. You will sit with hardware, controls, and software engineers to resolve design and throughput tradeoffs, then step back to ask the larger questions this platform invites. This technology has untapped latent use cases that no one has fully mapped yet, and part of your mandate is to find them, pressure-test them, and build the business case for the ones worth pursuing. You will write the narratives that turn an idea into a funded program, define the requirements that engineering builds against, and own the metrics that tell us whether an infeed solution is actually working on the floor.
This is a high-growth team, and the role grows with it. As the platform scales from its first buildings to broad deployment, the scope, the size of the investment, and the influence of the person who owns it grow in step. The right candidate will start by owning infeeds and earn the mandate to own more.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap: Take single-threaded ownership of a core product area, starting with infeeds (the human-operated stations and the automated infeeds that follow) and expanding as the product grows. Define the technical, integration, and platform standards your products are built to.
- Discover and drive new use cases: Map the untapped use cases this technology enables, pressure-test them, and build the business cases for the ones worth funding. Turn latent capability into named programs.
- Partner with engineering: Work shoulder to shoulder with hardware, controls, and software engineers on mechatronic design, and make the tradeoff decisions that determine how product enters the system at scale.
- Communicate and influence: Build consensus, translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and write the narratives that inform leadership decisions and win investment.
- Own outcomes end to end: Lead the full product lifecycle, define the success metrics that prove a solution works on the floor, and drive reliability, scalability, and deployment through cross-functional coordination.
About the team
We are a group of engineers, scientists, and business leaders who would rather invent the right answer than inherit the convenient one. We reason from first principles, we back our positions with data, and we take calculated risks on behalf of the customer. If you want a role where product management still means shaping the product itself, and where the ceiling is set by how big you are willing to think, this is it.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
