The Program Manager at Amazon Now is responsible for strategically planning, leading, and executing small to medium-scale projects and programs that drive operational excellence across Amazon Now's ultra-fast delivery network. This role focuses on managing dark store operations, scaling initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution of key programs that impact customer experience and operational efficiency.
This is a high-ownership role requiring the individual to design, implement, and govern scalable mechanisms across a rapidly expanding dark store network.
Key job responsibilities
1. Own and manage medium-sized programs driving end-to-end delivery from conception to implementation
2. Develop and execute project plans, securing resources and managing implementation across cross-functional teams
3. Track tasks, deliverables, deadlines, and milestones through regular status checks with stakeholders
4. Make appropriate trade-offs to optimize timelines and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders
5. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to align on program objectives
6. Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to all stakeholders
7. Provide fortnightly status updates to leadership on program progress, team readiness, challenges, and support requirements
8. Own the end-to-end third-party payments framework
9. Design and implement system-driven, auditable payment mechanisms that replace manual workflows ensuring scalability and zero payment leakage and complete audit traceability
10. Drive automation and tooling initiatives that reduce manual processing effort, improve payout cycle times, and create self-serve reporting for stakeholders
11. Define and enforce payment SOPs, exception-handling protocols, and escalation frameworks that enable consistent execution as the program scales
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
